WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT
What Are the Live Services Like?
At Good Shepherd Baptist Church, our goal is for you to feel connected to the body of believers and to the Lord Jesus Christ! Our desire for our services is to help you take your next step in your walk with the Lord, whatever that may be. Our services are typically about a hour and fifteen minutes long and include live music and preaching. During our worship service we sing hymns and spiritual songs as we worship the Lord together. Every service Pastor Josh brings a challenging and practical message from the Word of God that can be applied to your every day life.

When Do I Need to Arrive?
Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:45am and our Sunday evening service begins at 6:00pm. Arriving at least 5-10 minutes prior to the service will allow adequate time for parking and finding a seat in the auditorium. We also have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:45am and we recommend arriving a bit early so you can find your class and if you have small children, have the necessary time needed to check them into the nursery or their class.
Where Do I Park?
We have ample parking available in our large parking lot to the south and east sides of the main church building. Handicapped parking spots are available near the entrances to the building.

Where Do I Go?
The main entrance to the church building is located on the west side of the building. Greeters will be at each entrance to the building and will direct you where to go to the auditorium or where to drop your children off for their classes or in the nurseries.

Do You Provide Childcare for My Young Children?
During the worship services we have a nursery available for children up to 3 years located in our adjacent Ministry Building. You will receive a pager when you check your child into the nursery, which will allow us to notify you if your child needs extra assistance during the service.
Where Do My Older Children Go?
During the 9:45 Sunday School hour, we have classes for all ages broken up by age groups for your kids as well as for all the adults. During the 10:45 morning worship service, we have a children's church service for all children 5th grade and below. We believe it is best for children to have the Bible taught on a level that can be understood and comprehended. We feel children should love coming to church, and we strive to make that possible.
What Do I Need To Bring?
A Bible will help you follow along with the message and Scripture reading. If you do not have a Bible, there are Bibles at each seat for you to use during the service to follow along. Another option would be that all smart phones or tablets have many downloadable Bible apps available. We use the King James Version in the church service, so if you download an app, consider using that version so it’s easiest to follow along. Otherwise, there really isn’t anything else you need to bring with you.
What Should I Wear?
We believe that a person's dress standards are between themselves and God. Pastor Josh's suggestion to people has always been "Give God your best," but no matter what you are wearing you will be welcomed just the same at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. We are more concerned with meeting your needs rather than focusing on what you wear.
Is the Church Handicap Accessible?
Yes. There is reserved parking directly in front of the main entrance and the building is equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances. The church auditorium and the Ministry Building are both on the ground level with no stairs for entering. Should you need assistance, you can call the church office ahead of time and we will be more than happy to help you get to where you are going when you arrive.
How Are Visitors Recognized?
We simply ask visitors to fill out a Guest Welcome Card. Visitors will be recognized during the service but we will not ask you to stand and introduce yourself. We want you to have a wonderful experience at Good Shepherd Baptist Church and our desire is to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel at home.
